Big Announcements from The Weather Agency

Big Announcements for Weather Agency

New Websites, New App, and Client Portal Coming Soon

Greetings everyone,

I’m Meteorologist Bo Cole, and I’m excited to share some important updates about The Weather Agency and its roots in BoKnowsWeather. For those who’ve relied on my forecasts and services over the years, thank you for your continued trust—it’s what has made this growth possible.

Since launching BoKnowsWeather in 2012, my mission has been to deliver reliable, locally focused weather information and personal service. As demand has grown for more specialized, business-friendly solutions, it became clear that it was time to evolve and formalize our offerings. That’s exactly what The Weather Agency was created to do.

Introducing Our New Websites

First, we’ve just launched updated, modern websites for both brands:

  • The third major version of BoKnowsWeather.com is now live at https://boknowsweather.com/. It’s easier to navigate, with a cleaner design and better access to forecasts and resources.
  • On our side here at The Weather Agency, you can visit our brand-new, refreshed site at https://theweatheragency.com/. This is our second full website build—designed with a bold, professional style that matches the serious, data-driven work we do.

The Weather Agency exists to provide formal, professional-grade weather services. It’s an evolution of the consulting and forecasting work I’ve always offered—just presented in a more structured way for organizations that need reliable, expert weather guidance.

Why Create The Weather Agency?

While BoKnowsWeather continues as the trusted, community-facing forecasting brand, The Weather Agency serves a different need:

Businesses, local governments, logistics providers, contractors, and other professional clients require tailored weather solutions, clear communication, and reliable support. That’s why this brand exists—to deliver serious weather services with the detail, accountability, and polish those clients expect.

A Brand New App in the Works

Another major announcement is the development of a completely new BoKnowsWeather app.

After encountering significant problems with the last build—and realizing the older app couldn’t be updated to modern standards—I decided to go back to the drawing board. The new app is a fresh, ground-up build designed to be faster, more reliable, and much more feature-rich.

It will carry joint branding from BoKnowsWeather and The Weather Agency, reflecting our shared commitment to quality and service. Planned features include:

  • Push notification warnings for severe weather
  • Direct user messaging
  • Enhanced radar and satellite imagery
  • SPC data and forecasts
  • A suite of new tools for serious weather monitoring

We’re targeting 99.9% uptime for this new app—making it a reliable tool for anyone who needs to stay informed in critical situations.

The app will remain free to use at launch, supported by advertising opportunities for local sponsors. We expect it to be available by October 2025.

Launching Our Premium Client Portal

Perhaps the most exciting news for The Weather Agency clients is our upcoming dedicated client portal, built for professionals who need robust, always-available weather support.

This portal will be a paid service (with pricing announced soon) designed to offer far more than a typical forecast site. Planned capabilities include:

  • Detailed, real-time road condition updates to support travel and logistics planning
  • Seasonal operational support for both winter and summer challenges
  • Advanced radar maps with multiple overlays and layers
  • Two-way messaging with a meteorologist for live consultation
  • Fully customizable alert and notification settings

The client portal will be accessible via desktop and mobile/tablet web browsers, ensuring it’s available anywhere you need it—whether you’re managing a fleet, planning municipal operations, or running a weather-sensitive business.

Our goal is to have the portal live by October 2025 alongside the new app.

Thank You for Your Support

This expansion is the result of years of support from loyal clients and followers who trust BoKnowsWeather and now The Weather Agency to deliver accurate, clear, and actionable weather information.

We’re working hard to make sure these new tools meet the highest standards of reliability and usability.

For now, please explore our new website, share it with colleagues who might benefit, and keep an eye out for further announcements about app launch details, portal pricing, and advertising opportunities.

Thank you for choosing The Weather Agency for your professional weather needs—we’re excited to serve you even better in the years ahead.
